Brussels Rent Index Q1 2019
Across all of the cities indexed for rental prices, Brussels is showing the smallest overall increase. Prices for private rooms have displayed the steepest rise this past quarter and have gone up by 8.96%. The average rental prices for apartments rose to € 920.17, an increase of 2.03% compared to last year. Still, the high availability of housing and the flexible attitude of the municipality regarding project development and building transformation ensures a healthy rental market, both for tenants and landlords.

Brussels remains one of the cheapest cities to rent in; however, as compared to Q2 of 2018, the Belgian capital did see a rental increase for all accommodation types: 2.93% for apartments, 8.99% for studios and 5.59% for private rooms. The high availability of housing, coupled with the flexible attitude of the municipality (regarding both project development and building transformation), ensures a healthy rental market, for tenants and landlords alike.

Eurogroup Talks Begin In Brussels & U.S Consumer Price Index
The European Union is set on Tuesday to remove the final obstacles for Croatia to adopt The Euro, ensuring the first expansion of the currency bloc in almost a decade. Meanwhile, the median one year ahead inflation expectation increased to 6,8 percent in June, up from 6,6 percent in May, the highest since the survey began in 2013.
